A Royal Makeover

Sick of the royal wedding yet?  Well hang in there because I have a royal makeup tutorial for you today.  Kate looked stunning with her simple wedding day makeup and now you can do the look on your own.  Note: I didn't realize how bad I needed to pluck my eyebrows so please ignore the strays ;)

What I used:
Eye 1: Clinique Touch Tint for Eyes in Sable Shimmer
Eye 2: Mark Eye Shadow in Nomadic
Eye 3: Mark Eye Shadow in Gioia
Eyeliner: Avon Glimmersticks in Blackest Black
Mascara: Avon SuperExtend Mascara in Black
Blush: Clinique Rich Texture Blush in Rich Currant
Lip 1: MAC Select cover-up
Lip 2: Lancome Lip Dimension in Pure
Lip 3: Mark Glow Baby Glow Luxe Lip Gloss in Flirty Luxe

Step 1: Apply Eyeshadow #1 on eyelid from lash line blending up into the crease.  This cream eyeshadow acts as a base to help hold your eyeshadow in place and add some shimmer.

Step 2: Apply Eyeshadow #2 across the eyelid and under the brow.

Step 3: Apply Eyeshadow #3 in the crease of your eye.

Step 4:  Using a small amount of Eyeshadow #2 blend Eyeshadow #2.  Also apply a Eyeshadow #2 into the inner corner of the eye (I forgot to show this on the graphic.)

Step 5:  This is probably the most important step to achieving Kate's wedding look.  Apply eyeliner all around the eye making the liner thicker at the outer corner of the eye and tapering to the inner corner.  If you have difficulties applying  eyeliner the simplest way is to to your best and then use a Q-Tip and smudge it to where you want it.

Step 6: Curl your lashes then apply mascara to upper and lower lashes.

Step 7: Apply blush from the apple of your cheek back towards the ear.  Use a face powder to blend if it appears to bold.

Step 8: My lips had a bit too much natural color to achieve this look so I started by applying some concealer over my lips.  Then I applied Lipstick #1 for the color and then Lipgloss #3 just to the center of the lip for some shine.
